Welcome to Arfy's Mercantile for Dogs and Cats Website

At Arfy's Mercantile, we bake delicious treats for dogs and cats.  Arfys was founded in 1997 as a wholesale pet treat bakery for dogs and cats.  We bake for the local area and for pet/kitchen stores located as far east as Ohio.

In 2003, Arfys expanded to our current location to include natural, high quality dog and cat foods, unique toys, high quality beds and many kinds of treats.   We have never sold live animals and support our local rescue organizations and their fund raising events.

Dogs and kitties are always welcome at the store and (of course) they train us to give them samples of our famous Liver YumYums.

We are also happy to help you with special orders.

Owners and primary staff 

Barb and Joe are long time Fort Collins residents and have loved Arfy's for a long time.  Joe retired after 30 years as a trainer and supervisor of the Budweiser Clydesdales.  Barb retired from a career in eye surgical and diagnostic instruments and personnel.  Both have had a lifeling interest in animal nutrition and are dedicated lovers of critters.  Barb & Joe are loving the two legged and four legged members of the Arfy's family.
  
Diane is the heart of Arfys.  Diane's extensive knowledge of nutrition, first hand experience with dog and kitty toys, beds and treats provides our two and 4 legged customers with wonderful service.  She and her husband share their home with 5 dogs, a kitty, a 20 year old leopard ghecko and a 15 year old ring necked parakeet,

Carol is the primary baker of the yummy Arfys treats.  Her son is a master chef in Europe!.  After a 17 year career as a veterinary tech, Carol and her dog Lucy also provide joy to local nursing homes.

Lynda also bakes our treats.  Her career as a high level veterinary technician, animal care specialist and boarding specialist for dogs with medical needs somehow gives her time to enjoy the baking she loves to do.
